Zones

Zones have two sympathetic functions in Wintermute:

The act as representations of physical areas within the show - both as part of the show flow and outside it (for example FoH or BoH areas).
The are used to organise information about the show, as containers for variables¹⁾.

Show zones can also be queried for a number of special variables relating to the audience group²⁾ currently in that zone.

Zone Timers

All show zones have an associated timer.

Referring to the group in a Zone

All zones in the show-flow have built-in variables that allow you to refer to the group currently in that zone (or the last group in the case where depth is greater than one.

Zones also have their own status value that can be set and queried absent a child variable
